Automation, Information and Control Engineering

The degree program offers the basics of engineering in technical cybernetics, profound knowledge in information measuring equipment, control systems of mobile dynamic objects, computer systems, algorithmization in programming, modelling and optimization methods, microprocessor control devices and various automated technical devices and automatic control systems, CAD and CAM systems, management.

Study modules covering the following scientific areas are available:

Control Systems – knowledge is acquired about testing, design, operation and development of automated control systems of objects and systems in various industrial sectors in the non-manufacturing sphere, as well as their provision with software, information and technical resources.

Electric Drives and Automation of Production Equipment – technical knowledge is gained about testing, design, production and operation of electric drive systems and about control systems of machines, mechanisms, moving objects and production complexes.

Industrial Control Systems and Process Management testing, operation and development of automation systems of engineering, information and communication processes, system analysis and design, modelling, simulation and optimization, measurement and control of material, energy and information flows, decision making.

Intelligent Control Systems and Robotics – this module builds a comprehensive understanding of testing, design, control and operation of robots, industrial manipulators, reprogrammable resources for automation and flexible production systems, computer vision and intelligent control systems.

The specificity of the degree program draws on combining fundamental knowledge of various engineering processes and organizational systems models, of Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, Management Theories with General Engineering, Natural Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, as well as with language proficiency.
